I know this will sound weird, but sometimes- to help myself fall asleep- I think about bizarre animals and the creatures they evolved from over the years. I know, I know- I AM lame. So, when I found out that there was a site dedicated to some of evolution's freakiest creatures, I got excited. Not a fan of evolution? That's cool, just look at the depressingly weird animals! I've kind of died and gone to weird fascination heaven.

Dark thoughts keep evolution awake some nights. It tosses and turns for hours, tormented by visions of creatures too twisted for anyone else to see—creatures, like the stargazer fish, that it knows no decent natural force would ever even imagine. In a desperate attempt to feel normal evolution tries to bury these demons within the murky sand of its subconscious. Deep down, though, it knows that this is a futile effort—that sooner or later, the beasts will creep back out. 

They've also provided me with this, so I can scream "Dear God, NO!"
