Normally, I poo poo the awards because of their odd loyalty to acts that haven't done anything interesting. This year looks good, though, with bands like The Black Keys, Fun., Mumford and Sons, and even Jack White being nominated. On top of that, this Sunday's show will have some pretty impressive performances.

Via MTV:

Sunday night's 55th Grammy Awards is already jam-packed with a huge roster of talent that includes Justin Timberlake,
Fun., Taylor Swift, Jack White, the Black Keys, Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Carrie Underwood. Rihanna performing with Sting and Bruno Mars and Miranda Lambert jamming with Dierks Bentley.

But the show has just added a musical mashup that is sure to blow minds. In an explosive melding of rock, rap and EDM, a supergroup composed of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Grammy host LL Cool J, Public Enemy leader Chuck D, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and DJ Z-Trip will get together for a special performance during the broadcast.

Yep. I'll be looking forward to seeing that. Also, Dave Grohl is set to present, so I'll be ready to watch. Way to not suck this year, Grammys!

Now, please enjoy one of my favorite things I have ever seen on an awards show. No, not the dude with "Soy Bomb" written on his chest- Bob Dylan's confusion and willingness to continue his song is what was so great.
