This is a terrible news segment because it got a bunch of stuff wrong:

1) There is the assumption that time cuts are just as serious as lighting issues. WRONG. When you're playing a festival with other acts, set times are very important.

2) The band's time was not cut short FOR Usher, but because of him...wording does make a difference. Usher went over because he realized a lot of us forgot who he was. So, in an attempt to stay relevant, he kept performing. That's MY assumption, at least. So, because of that, Green Day were given time warnings. The way it has been explained is false and makes it seem like Usher was coming up next. Trust me, wording and proper explainations matter.

Of course, the next day...out of humiliation and possible substance abuse, the band issued an apology and said that Billie Joe was going into rehabilitaion. This means shows will be cancelled and/or post-poned. While I hope he gets cleaned up quickly, I also hope that he realizes that they could have just kept playing lke Usher kept performing. The show was friggin' long, two extra songs would not have made much of a difference that night.

Oh, by the way...Green Day's new album Uno! is out today. Ding ding ding! Money.
