Jerry Sandusky Sentenced to 30 to 60 Years in Prison

Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky will likely spend the rest of his life in prison, after a judge handed down a prison sentence Tuesday for his convictions on child sexual abuse charges. Judge John Cleland said Sandusky will face no less than 30 years and no more than 60 years, with credit for time served. He was convicted in June of sexually abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period. BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE He Knew Hulk Sex Tape Could Be Worth A Fortune

Hulk Hogan's best friend, Bubba the Love Sponge, not only secretly videotaped Hulk having sex -- he bragged afterwards that the tape was a goldmine that could be the key to Bubba's retirement. TMZ has seen the last few minutes of Hulk's leaked sex tape -- in which he bangs Bubba's wife Heather Clem.  It's very clear -- Bubba was in on it.  Moments after the deed is done and Hulk leaves, Bubba says to his wife ... "If we ever did want to retire, all we'd have to do is use this footage."  His wife shoots back, "You'd never do that." Bubba then tries to recover, saying, "I wouldn't do that, you'd be the biggest rat, you'd be dead." The revelation is interesting ... considering Hulk went on the Howard Stern show TODAY and said he and Bubba are still good friends -- and sounded confident Bubba was NOT the culprit. There's more, Hulk is filing a criminal police report in FL and trying to HUNT DOWN whoever leaked the tape -- claiming he was filmed illegally. [TMZ] 

Man Sues Strip Club, Says Pole Dancer Burst His Bladder

Oh humans, sometimes, I just don’t understand you. A man is suing a strip club claiming a pole dancer injured him so severely than he required surgery. Patrick Gallagher claims he and his friends went to the Philadelphia-area Penthouse Club for his bachelor party back in 2010. His bachelor’s package included a special performance from a stripper. During the dance, Gallagher was laying on the stage when the stripper slid down a pole “with such force” that she ruptured his bladder upon landing, according to the lawsuit. The next morning Gallagher went to the hospital where he was told he had suffered internal bleeding and underwent surgery, the lawsuit said. Gallagher also says he suffered nerve damage to his back and hip. He is now seeking $50,000 for medical costs, pain, humiliation and mental anguish. The Penthouse Club said it had no comment. [KTLA]

Squirrel in Riverside County Tests Positive For Plague Bacteria

Oh dear. For the first time in nearly a decade, a ground squirrel in the San Jacinto Mountains tested positive for exposure to fleas infected with the bacteria that can cause bubonic plague. State health officials notified the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health about results from a squirrel the department collected Sept. 6 at the Fern Basin campground north of Idyllwild. The squirrel was found to have exposure to fleas infected with bacteria that can cause plague, according to a news release. County officials ensured that warning signs are clearly posted and recommend that visitors, hikers and campers follow the precautions to prevent contact with fleas:

Man Wearing Body Armor Arrested at LAX With Grenade, Knives

Oh remember the days when traveling used to be glamorous? Well, barely. A man wearing a bullet-proof vest was arrested at LAX after customs agents found a smoke grenade, a gas mask and body bags in his luggage. Yongda Huang Harris, 28, had just arrived on a flight from Japan when he was referred for secondary inspection after customs officers noticed he was wearing a bulletproof vest and flame retardant pants. According to Homeland Security Harris' luggage contained a pyrotechnic smoke grenade, three leather-coated billy clubs, a collapsible baton, a full-face respirator, various knives, a hatchet, body bags, a biohazard suit, handcuffs, leg irons and a device to repel dogs. Officials say Harris, who makes his permanent home in Boston, has been living and working recently in Japan. He's a naturalized U.S. citizen who was formerly a Chinese national. He is charged in a criminal complaint with one count of transporting hazardous materials. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison. [KTLA]

EWWW. Man Dies After Winning Cockroach Eating Contest

The winner of a roach-eating contest died shortly after eating dozens of roaches and worms. Several contestants ate the insects at Ben Siegel Reptile Store in Deerfield Beach. The participants were competing for the grand prize of a python. Wait what. All for a PYTHON?! Are you serious. The Broward Sheriff's Office says the winner of the challenge, Edward Archbold, 32, became ill soon after. Witnesses say Archbold began to throw up the roaches and worms he ate before collapsing in front of the store. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. They are still waiting on an autopsy report. [KTLA]
