We saw LP open for Kimbra in LA a couple weeks ago – and it was an AMAZING live show! She was on Jimmy Kimmel last week – and you may recognize this song from a Citibank Card commercial.

A scorned dentist is facing jail time after surgically removing all of her ex-boyfriend's teeth after he dumped her, authorities in London said. Marek Olszewski, 45, made the mistake of scheduling an appointment this week with his ex -- 34-year-old Anna Mackowiak -- for a toothache, according to the Daily Mail. So Mackowiak allegedly did what any burned beau with a set of pliers and some anesthetic would do: she doped him up, pulled out all his teeth, and wrapped his head with bandages so he wouldn't notice until he left her office. "I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions," she told the news site. "But when I saw him lying there I just thought, 'What a b-----d.'" Olszewski could tell something was wrong when he awoke and couldn't feel any teeth in his mouth. But he said Mackowiak assured him that he'd be fine once the numbness wore off.  "I didn't have any reason to doubt her -- I mean I thought she was a professional," he said. He was wrong. "But when I got home I looked in the mirror and I couldn't f--king believe it," he said. "The b--ch had emptied my mouth." Worse, Olszewski's new girlfriend dumped him because, well, she couldn't date a man without any teeth! [HuffingtonPost]

The students from Granada Hills Charter High School took home top honors for the second year in a row at the National Academic Decathlon

The team also clinched the highest scores ever in the national competition, winning 54,081 out of 60,000 possible points, officials said. The school is only the third in history to win back-to-back titles. Teams from 31 states competed inAlbuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday. California has won 15 of the 18 past competitions with many of those victories going to L.A. schools. Students at 6 California State University campuses are going on a hunger strike

Over a dozen students with the Students for Quality Education announced that the protest will start Wednesday and will be held at the Dominguez Hills, Fullerton, Long Beach, Northridge, Sacramento and San Bernardino campuses. The students say they will fast until university leaders freeze tuition, roll back salaries and meet other demands. Well – you gamer nerds are gonna love this - A new study finds that playing action videogames changes the brain and improves visual attention

Researchers had people play either a first-person shooter or a three-dimensional puzzle game.  They gave them brain scans and had them do a visual attention task before and after they played the games.  RESULTS: Those who played the shooter game had significant changes in their brain waves and showed the greatest improvement on the visual attention task. A "comprehensive review of scientific evidence" found no convincing proof that using cell phones damages human health

According to a review by the Health Protection Agency, studies haven't shown that the use of phones causes brain tumors or any other cancer. But it said it was important to monitor evidence. They also discouraged excessive use of phones by children. [Yahoo]

 

Woman thought she had cancer - she had fruit pit in her lung for 28 years!!!!


WTFFFF??!!!! A woman from Florida went to the doctor for a nasty cough and they showed her a dark spot on her lung. For 28 years, the woman had the cough. She also had a hard time breathing, and doctors treated her for asthma and pneumonia. This time, the doctor's found a mass in her lung and suspected it was cancer. She thought it was something else. It turned out that 28 years ago she was eating a piece of fruit and accidentally inhaled a pit. A few weeks after getting the possible cancer news, she was sitting at a traffic light, started coughing violently, and out it came. The seed that had sat in her lung since 1984 was in her hand. Her coughing is practically gone now. She says she can finally breathe... and she feels like a new person. [TheHeights]

 

Former presidential hopeful Rick Santorum did not take a photo WITH Lindsay Lohan this weekend -- but sources at the White House Correspondents' Dinner tell TMZ ... he took one OF her

 According to sources inside the party, LiLo was sitting with Fox News personality Greta Van Susteren when Santorum came up to say hello. Lindsay was asked to take a picture of him with Greta using his camera, which she did.  Then ... TMZ sources say Rick asked to take a photo of Lindsay using his camera. Yes ... of just Lindsay.  Lindsay smiled and obliged and Santorum then went on his way.  A TMZ photog asked Rick about the picture after the party ... and he played dumb about the photo. [TMZ]

It's being sold by Jackson's former personal bodyguard, Eric Muhammad. He signed a certificate stating MJ wore the mask the day before he died. It's being bid on through auctioneer Nate D. Sanders, and it already has stacked up more than $21,000 through just seven bidders. It's predicted the mask will sell for at least $50,000. Michael  Jackson's estate won't get any profits from the sale. Bidding ends today. [MSNBC]
